Power Up Your Family Life At The Inaugural CFAM Conference

Where better to learn how to raise a family than in the house of God? This August, City Harvest Church will hold its inaugural CityFamilies (CFAM) Conference, bringing wisdom and encouragement to families, married couples and singles.

From 4 to 7 August, CityFamilies (CFAM), CHC’s ministry that supports family life in the church, will hold its very first CFAM Conference. The event aims to equip attendees with life skills to build resilience, and to find fresh inspiration for themselves and their families.

On its website, CFAM states that “you will be enriched whatever season you’re in! We have programmes and workshops designed for singles, couples and families, and bonus topics to help you through the various challenges you may be facing.”

The conference boasts more than 40 workshops (some offer simultaneous translation in Mandarin),  held over two days (4-5 Aug). Offering a wide range of topics—”Navigating your singleness in the light of eternity”, “Making marriage fun”, “Managing differences and expectation in the marital journey”, “Romance your partner with style”, “Music and my child”, “Grieving well to heal from childhood traumas”, “Tweens and sexual purity”—the workshop caters to adults at different stages of life. Participants can register for two different workshops each day.

On the weekend of 6-7 Aug, the church’s senior pastor Kong Hee and his wife, executive pastor Sun Ho will take the “hot seat” at a special CFAM Conference service. They will answer questions on family, marriage, singlehood and relationships. In the spirit of the week, families and friends can also enjoy some fun activities in Suntec Hall 605 after the service.

Family devotion is key to inculcating faith at home, yet not many parents know how and where to start. In collaboration with HarvestKidz, CFAM will be holding an online CFAM Family Devotion Night prior to the conference, on 29 July (Friday). Parents can come together with their children (under 12) to learn how to conduct fun and engaging family devotions that allow them to share, reflect and discuss what God says in His Word.
