This latest book from Phil Pringle contains nuggets of wisdom and truth about leadership from a biblical perspective.

Book Mark: Letters To Next Generation Leaders Everything rises and falls on leadership, so the famous John Maxwell saying goes.

Building on previous leadership books such as You The Leader and Leadership Excellence, Phil Pringle’s most recent work, Letters To Next Generation Leaders is a must read if you desire to be a leader in church, or if you already hold a position within the church, such as a cell group leader, connect group leader or ministry head.

Written in a style akin to his preaching on stage, Pringle invites the reader to meditate on the truth within Scripture, breaking ideas into bite-sized morsels to help the reader understand and apply these truths to one’s life.

I particularly liked when Pringle expounded on one of my favorite Bible verses, 1 Timothy 3:1. “This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.” Pringle encourages believers to rise up and take up the leadership mandate given by God.

He reminds believers that becoming a leader is not about one’s own political ambition, but is a calling that flows out of passion for God. Other aspects of leadership that this book covers include instructions for choosing leaders in a church as taught to Timothy by Paul. Besides choosing future leaders, the instructions serve as a reminder to guard one’s walk with God.

Letters To The Next Generation is one of the best reads in my personal library as it contains much truth and practical advice which I can apply to my ministry and my own walk with Christ.
