The court calls the six accused to present their defense in the CHC case.
The six accused persons in the City Harvest Church case has a case to answer and therefore need to take the stand.
Presiding Judge of the State Courts See Kee Oon said in court that he is satisfied that the evidence presented by the prosecution supported some element of each of the charges against the accused.
All six have indicated they will each be taking the stand.
Following today’s ruling, the Chairman of CHC’s management board, Aries Zulkarnain, who is also Executive Pastor of the church, put up a statement on the church website.
“Please continue to pray and trust the Lord for the best outcome for the six whose case will be heard starting July 14… We trust that God will protect and guide them as they give their testimony on the stand in the coming months, and we pray that in all circumstances the Lord shall be glorified,” he said.
The defense case starts July 14.
