This Saturday, Tan Tock Seng Hospital Community Charity Fund raises funds for elderly patients with its Family & Friends Charity Ride.

If cycling amidst greenery is your idea of a relaxing Sunday, why not do it for a good cause? Join Tan Tock Seng Hospital at its Family and Friends Charity Ride fundraising event and raise funds for its elderly patients who require long-term medication and treatment.

Organized by TTSH Community Charity Fund, which provides financial aid for needy patients, the charity ride is held in conjunction with the launch of a Park Connector in the Northeastern part of Singapore by the National Parks Board.

The event, which happens this coming Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8.30am to 12.00pm will see more than 3,000 participants cycling, running or walking along the new 11km Park Connector. A carnival will also be set up in the park for the community to join in the celebration.

TTSH Community Charity Fund aims to raise at least S$100,000 from sign-ups (registration is S$50 for both 9km and 11km; group discounts apply) and sales from the carnival.

The funds raised will go directly to one of the Community Charity Fun’s key programs, Helping Elderly Patient, to pay for healthcare costs such as medication, medical equipment, as well as a nutrition and rehabilitation program to aid in their recovery and offer them better quality of life.

Registration closes Tuesday, Feb. 21.
