Spirit Break Out, the live debut album from the London-based Worship Central team, has just been released. It features 14 tracks from the worship session at the HMV Forum in March this year by familiar names such as Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Al Gordon, Nikki Fletcher and Luke Hellebronth.

As revealed by the title, this spirited album seeks to lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ. The opening track, “Spirit Of The Living God,” while lyrically simple, lays the foundation for prayerful worship as it escalates into a soaring anthem that calls upon the Spirit of God to fall on His children.

Of the title track “Spirit Break Out,” Tim Hughes, a songwriter, worship leader and the co-founder of Worship Central (as well as a vicar-in-training) told Mission Worship magazine that “The title track feels like a revival song: its heart cry is to see God smashing out of the box and leading us into more of His presence and glory.”

“Wake up,” a call for a spiritual awakening, is followed by “Undivided Love,” a declaration of the believer’s love for his Maker. “All Glory” brings the worship to a magnificent end, proclaiming the glory and unshakeable faithfulness of the Almighty God.

Hughes explained the theme of the Holy Spirit in the same article: “The Spirit gives life, releases freedom and joy, puts a new song on our lips and reveals the beauty and majesty of Christ. Our heart at Worship Central is that these songs and this album will fire people up and inspire them in their worship and will lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ.”
