Adeline Ng Shu Ling, 22, recently won one of three top spots in the Marigold “Fresh At 25” design competition. The contest was held to mark the 25th anniversary of Marigold Peel Fresh, and Ng’s is one of three designs that will appear on the 25th anniversary limited edition Marigold packs in October.
“I am extremely pleased with my achievement and I believe that I wouldn’t have come this far without God’s grace and blessings. I’m excited to see my design on the upcoming limited edition packs!” says the third year Raffles Design Institute student, whose lecturer encouraged her and her classmates to enter the contest and demonstrate their talents.
Of her winning design, Ng says, “Marigold Peel Fresh was looking for designs that illustrate freshness and juicy goodness. The main element in my design is the water “crown” that holds a variety of fresh fruits surrounded by water droplets in a swirling motion. The crown symbolizes the glory and recognition that Marigold Peel Fresh enjoys in its 25th year.”
Ng walked away with S$2,500 in cash, an iPad2 and a trophy, among other prizes. ~TERENCE JR LEE
