Ever been advised to stay away from the gym when you suffer from an injured back? Physiomed, a local fitness brand, has partnered with Proxomed, a German manufacturer of training equipment to bring in a medical fitness system targeting the back muscles and spinal vertebrae in order to offer the latest in strength and core muscle conditioning therapy.
Based on the belief that back and core strength training will lead to an improved state of overall physical wellness, the state-of-the-art equipment includes the Tergumed Back Concept which strengthens the back muscles and is suitable for enhancement of sports fitness and daily function as well as preventive strengthening or even recuperation from back injuries. Hence, it is suitable for the more elderly as well.
One of the most impressive points about the Termuged training system is its bio-feedback software, which advises users on the right strength and speed in real-time to ensure accurate tracking of the users’ progression. Additionally, its training stations are computerized to help users achieve the correct postures in order to accurately work out key muscle groups while minimizing risk of injury. The use of a laser-pointer is aimed at ensuring correct positioning at all times.
Prices range from S$998 for eight intermediate sessions.
