This is a welcome piece of news for all avid fans of Toast Box’s thick toast; the kopitiam chain has introduced five new flavors including the Tom Yum Garlic Thick Toast and Butter Milk Thick Toast (both S$1.80) to its menu. The first is a recreation of the classic garlic toast with specially made Tom Yum paste, chopped fresh garlic, chilli and spring onion, while the latter comprises lightly toasted bread topped with a blend of butter and fresh milk.
The other three new varieties are the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Thick Toast, Kopi Ice Cream Thick Toast and Kaya Ice Cream Thick Toast (S$4.80 each). Coffee lovers will no doubt go for the Kopi Ice Cream Thick Toast, piled on with a bittersweet ice-cream infused with Toast Box’s signature Nanyang Kopi and topped with whipped cream and roasted slivers of almonds.
In tandem with the launch of these new thick toasts, Toast Box is also raising funds for two local charities, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations. Ten cents from every sale of its thick toast will be donated to the charities in the months of June and July.
