Publishing company Marshall Cavendish Education is holding a 1-for-1 Primary School Assessment Book Exchange at the Singapore Book Fair 2011 from May 28 to June 5, noon to 2 p.m. daily.

The first 500 customers get to exchange their old assessment books for a complimentary copy from a selection of Marshall Cavendish Education assessment titles. Subsequent exchanges will be at S$2 per copy. The exchange is limited to one book per customer and will be on a subject-by-subject and level-by-level basis.

The old assessment books collected will be recycled and the amount collected will be donated to Marshall Cavendish Education’s selected charity for the past three years, SunLove, which runs a free tuition service for lower-income families residing in the Chai Chee neighborhood. The company’s staff also volunteers at the center on weekends.

Besides assessment and enrichment books, there are also fiction, cookery, children’s titles and others, starting from S$2. Additionally, new online bookstore NOQ store (www.noqstore.asia), which offers international titles and deliveries at competitive shipping rates, is giving away free one-year memberships worth S$20 at the fair.

The Singapore Book Fair 2011 is jointly organized by Singapore Press Holdings and Marshall Cavendish Business Information at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre, from May 27 to June 5, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
