To celebrate and honor mothers this month, City Harvest Community Services Association put together pretty gift packs and gave them out to the mothers under one of the association’s services known as STAR.

STAR is a service for families, which aims to strengthen family units through comprehensive care, financial as well as social-emotional counseling, and recreational activities.
“The gift pack is a way of letting these mothers know that in the face of challenging circumstances, their strength and courage in holding their families together is something that is remarkable—a gift to the community,” explains Jeannette Soh, a staff member of CHCSA.
CHCSA volunteers and caseworkers who have been interacting with these families will be distributing the gift packs during home visits and grocery distributions throughout the month of May.
The thoughtful gift packs contain two bottles of body lotion, along with a message from CHCSA, honoring mothers for their extraordinary love and strength in raising their children.
