What better way to say “I Love You” to the woman who means everything to you, than to buy a rose or carnation handcrafted by the women of WEworkz.

The Attributes store at Suntec Singapore Level 6 (Hall 603) will be selling the flowers in support of Women Enterprise Workz, a local social enterprise and co-operative created to help lower-income Singaporean women.

WEworkz is a co-operative facilitated by the South West CDC and supported by the Singapore National Co-operative Federation. Its vision is to encourage and empower lower income Singaporean women who are unable to commit to full-time employment to engage in home-based economically viable activities to supplement their household income. WEworkz provides training and business opportunities that fit the members’ personal skills and interests, equips them with skills and knowledge and builds networks for entrepreneurial opportunities. Some of the products produced by WEworkz members include bags and accessories from recycled banners, candles and jewelry, as well as Mother’s Day gifts.

These roses and carnations, made by hand using crepe paper, have sold very well on Mother’s Day the last two years. This year, the flowers are available (in limited quantities) once again at Attributes from April 30 at S$3 for a rose stalk and S$2 for a carnation.
