FIRST Hand is on the lookout for volunteers. Interested parties must be at least 21 years old and comfortable working with HIV/Aids patients. FIRST Hand volunteers make fortnightly visitations to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Monday evenings or at the patient’s homes over the weekend. New volunteers also have to undergo four compulsory training sessions conducted by doctors and medical specialists of TTSH. Training sessions for 2011 will be held on May 7, 14, 28 and June 4.

Upon successful completion of training, volunteers will be issued a certificate of training by TTSH and a volunteer pass permitting entry into the hospital ward.

The FIRST Hand recruitment will be held from April 9 to 10 at the CHCSA booth located in Suntec Singapore, Hall 603.
