The Marketplace ministry recently hosted a group of business people from Xiamen for a meal on Nov. 13, Saturday. It was an insightful time for more than 20 members of The Marketplace, who had a good time of fellowship with the Chinese business people; other than making new network connections into the burgeoning Chinese market, the Singapore business people also had an opportunity to hear about how these Xiamen business people operate in China.

They were stirred in their hearts as they heard testimonies about how God is helping the Chinese businessmen to prosper in their businesses, and as a result, they are able to impact their community in a positive way. The Marketplace also had the privilege of having one of China’s top violinist, Sang Quan, play for them during the meal.
More exciting things, and a stellar line-up of guests are in the works for The Marketplace—they will be arranging to meet up with the former chief economist in charge of Chinese government-affiliated companies in Beijing. The Marketplace will also be exploring possibilities about holding a Christian marketplace conference here in Singapore with one of Forbes’ top five businessmen in China.
