Pioneer of xinyao returns to wow his fans.
Award-winning singer, composer and producer Eric Moo is a familiar name for many Singaporeans. To date, he has released more than 40 albums and performed in over 40 concerts in the 20-year span of his singing career. Moo is a pioneer of the xinyao genre, which are acoustic songs about local life composed and performed by Singaporeans.
Moo’s hit songs such as “Chance Encounter” and “For You” have dominated the radio waves since 1983. In 1988, he became the most popular newcomer in Taiwan and Hong Kong with his album Even Though You Are My Only. Following that, the album Too Silly propelled Moo into the Excellent Artistic Music Award by the American Billboard, beating Hong Kong King of Pop, Jacky Cheung. Moo also wrote memorable theme songs for TV serials such as Kopi-O.
Tickets for Moo’s last concert in 2003 were sold out within a week. Flyer Entertainment is bringing the artiste back for a one-night concert, Moments—Asia Tour 2010. Expect to sing along to all the highlights of Eric Moo’s 25-year musical reign.
