The Wheel of Life Conference is a six-part seminar series run by City Harvest Church that deals with issues such as personal leadership, physical development, work life, finances and more importantly, how an individual can balance all these areas for a complete life.

This seminar is conducted by Darren Tan, a Zone Supervisor in City Harvest Church, who observes that most people live a frustrated life because they tend to focus too much on one certain area of their lives and neglect the other equally important aspects.

He sees this seminar as an opportunity to fill in the blanks for these individuals seeking an answer to their predicament.

Each session is attended by about 120 participants, and the series is currently in its fourth session; the topic is leadership and building good relationships.

“Human beings need relationships,” says Darren, “The key to success in life is learning how to connect with people.”

As part of the conference, Darren has arranged for practical sessions where the participants engage in performing interesting hands-on activities.

Zoey Teo, a healthcare practitioner, notes that “these practical sessions allow us to apply what we have learnt immediately.” She adds,”During the session on finances, Darren taught us to create budgets to monitor our expenditure.”

The seminar has been well-received by participants; some say it has helped them change their mindset to live a more complete life.

Says Victoria Yee, a social worker, “After what I have learned, I hope to achieve greater synergy in my life and have a better work-life balance.”
