  1. Pst Kong's Taiwan Mission Trip

    Senior pastor of City Harvest Church, Kong Hee, was in Taiwan from Feb. 24 to 27, ministering to churches in the cities of Tainan, Taipei and Kaohsiung.
  2. FEB. 24 Kong's first stop was Rhema Harvest Church in Tainan. The leaders did a special song item to welcome the Singapore team.
  3. Kong with Soon Weijian, a member of CHC on a student exchange program at Tainan. Soon attends Rhema Harvest Church while he is there.
  4. The Taiwanese pastors hosted Kong at a dinner after a service at Da Gang Church, Tainan.
  5. FEB. 25 Traveling constitutes a large part of a mission trip. Kong uses this time to catch up with his disciples who travel with him. Kong with (clockwise) Garrick Li, pastor of Grace Church, Bobby Chaw, missions director of CHC, Dr Fong Wai Yin, a member of CHC, and Wayne Chang, pastor of Hsin Tien Covenant Church, at the high speed railway station. They were heading to Taipei from Tainan.
  6. Kong preached a message on outreach in Hsin Tien Covenant Church, Taipei. Many responded to the altar call, making a commitment to love those beyond the four walls of the church.

    Chinese New Year calls for lots of festive decorations! Members of City Harvest Chinese Church spent the weekend of Jan. 7 and 8 at Suntec Singapore, learning how to make lanterns out of angpow packets.

    We Not Naughty, which opens on Jan. 19, is Jack Neo's 17th film. The director said early audience response has been positive-many seem happy to watch a movie that reflects Neo's signature style of social commentary.

    Joshua Ang (left) and Shawn Lee were mere children when they first starred in Jack Neo's I Not Stupid (2002). The two have become like brothers, their chemistry rubbing off on fellow actors.

    The most-talked-about scene in We Not Naughty is Hong Kong actor Daniel Chan's naked dash-no stunt double was used. "It was really quite embarrassing for everyone, the place of filming was very windy and the chill caused my hair to stand!" said the actor.

    Well-known singer-songwriter Loi Fey Huei played in a loanshark in We Not Naughty, a challenging task since he had never acted and he speaks no Hokkien. That he pulled it off is a marvel that Loi credits to Neo.
  5. Cheryl Yeo

    Newbie Cheryl Yeo sacrificed a head full of beautiful long hair for the show. In one scene she has to have her locks cut off by her mother (played by Xiang Yun) after her scalp is scalded by bullies in school. She has no regrets. "The experience I gained this film is far more precious than my hair," she said.

    Neo conducted a live demonstration of the helicam at a press conference. A mainstay in Hollywood, this complex but highly impressive technique is being used locally for the first time in We Not Naughty.
